Merino wool garments are easy to clean and care for. We recommend washing in lukewarm or cold water using a neutral, mild detergent. Never use specialized wool detergents, fabric softeners, bleach, or enzyme-based detergents, as these can break down and damage the natural wool fibers.
For the first wash, wash separately to remove loose fibers. For subsequent washes, wash with similar colors. Washing alongside coarser fabrics (such as denim) can naturally help remove minor surface pilling. Do not tumble dry or dry in direct sunlight; lay flat in the shade to air-dry.
Do not soak for extended periods.
Wash with like colors.
Turn printed garments inside out before washing.
Machine wash on regular cycle with standard water temperature and low-to-medium spin speeds.
Use standard mild detergent; do NOT use wool-specific detergents.
Under no circumstances use bleach or fabric softeners.
Washing occasionally with denim or coarser fabrics helps eliminate pilling.
